There has been no shortage of examples of idiocy from the Russians. But top of the list has to be digging in around Chernobyl.

When the Russians aren’t slaughtering the Ukrainian citizens, they are exposing their own troops to high levels of Radiation.

What is funny is how none of the Russians have heard of Chernobyl. That is both sad. And hilarious. It is classic Soviet Style information management. You didn’t repeat anything that made the Soviet State look bad. The Russians are not allowed to know the truth of their own history.

So how many troops will be dead in another five years? How many thousands have been condemned to die from cancer? All because the Russians need to lie to everyone. Especially their own people.

What is your BS about? That you think the plant still emits radiation? That you think Russians don´t know about Chernobyl? Looks like you fall victim to "soviet style information management".

The ground around Chernobyl is extremely radioactive. But reports are the troops didn’t know.

Read the article. Look at the photos and vids. Idiot.

Building an army of Hulk's ... sounds like a solid plan to me ...

Idiot is you. The higher radiation levels do not come from the plant. It is a thick bunker. It is in the environment and won´t hurt you, particularly if you don´t plan to stay forever.

People still live there - for decades. Others are moving there.

You are just a too dumb to realize your content is mere propaganda and you even call others idiots who don´t believe in your vast nonsense.

Indeed.

So the radiation levels are hype?

Yes.

"Generally the levels of radiation in Pripyat and the surrounding area, although far higher than the norm, are safe for the time you will be exposed to them (just don’t go licking stuff)."

Well, let them continue to be idiots they will exterminate themselves like rats that they are.

A small chance of dying 5 years from now is obviously less concerning than getting killed or horrifically maimed by a sniper 5 nanoseconds from now.

Hence the trenches.

Have you no clue why soldiers dig trenches? It's not because they like to dig. It's so they don't get blown into smithereens.

Oh believe me. I understand Digging in. However. One of the key components to digging in is location selection.

For example. Digging in on a flood plain right before the rainy season is dumb. Defending that area is useless since Mother Nature will soon provide excellent barriers to enemy movement.

Understanding the dangers to your forces in any area is a key consideration for military leaders. See Camp Keating as one example.

They built the camp in a small valley surrounded by high rocky hills. The enemy could shoot down into the camp, and cover was minimal.

It may not have been the absolute worst place to put forces. But it was in the top ten.

Chernobyl makes Keating look like a great location. At Keating, the threat was the enemy. At Chernobyl the enemy is the location.
