Alexander Ovechkin scored his 894th goal in the NHL and repeated Wayne Gretzky's record.
The captain of “Washington” made a double in the regular season NHL match with “Chicago” (4:3, third period).
In the third period, he hit the Blackhawks goal with a shot from the left circle of the throw-in on the power play.

Ovechkin made his NHL debut in the 2005-06 season and is playing his 20th season in the league. The Canadian played 20 seasons in the league (1979/80 - 1998/99).
