Of course there was optimistic scenario, in which NATO roll back immediately and prepare to defence NATO countries, there was realistic scenario in which NATO support Ukraine indirectly, and there was pessimistic scenario in which NATO countries involved directly and the situation is escalating to the all-out nuclear war.

Never once even talking to Putin... it is VERY reasonable to consider that Putin may not have escalated the war as much as he did if not for Biden sending over heavy armament and weaponry to escalate the fighting.

Syria demonstrated what worth those "hordes" without heavy weapons and nukes. Russia killed more than half of million of them with losing lesser two hundred men. One to two thousand. "Arab spring" started after Russian ban of grain export clearly demonstrated how "good" are they in supplying themselves with food. Their reaction on Israel's operation in Gaza clearly demonstrated how "united" they are.
