Rosh Ha'ayin: Father mistakenly runs over son

Toddler, aged 18 months, killed in Rosh Ha'Ayin after being struck by his father's car; MDA forced to call time of death

A father accidentally killed his own 18-month old son while absentmindedly reversing his car on Wednesday. According to a police statement, it seems the child was killed by his father when he reversed the car, unaware that the former had exited the vehicle.

A helpless MDA emergency crew which was called to the scene was unfortunately forced to declare the child dead.

I know many cars have reverse beepers, we have them too, guess that car didn't.

Poor baby! and poor parents!

One of my two nephews was a real escape artist - he was so tall and thin, the safety harnesses in the car seat couldn't be tightened enough to keep him from wriggling out.

So on long-distance trips, she was forced to DUCT TAPE him into the carseat, and give his older brother, age 5, a pair of scissors in case something happened...... She said she drove with extreme care so as to avoid any notice.......
