Can everyone unite behind this? Who is for stopping violence among these peaceful protests? Some say the violence, looting, shooting, blocking, disruption - is all being caused by right wing white supremacist groups; Nazis, KKK, al.right. Fine. Let’s find out. Let’s use all law enforcement strategies and intelligence to confirm and stop all violence so that we can insure peaceful and safe protests.

How could anyone have a problem with this plan? The only scenario I can come up with is if people don’t want confirmed that at a minimum, the violence is being cause by radical leftists as well.

That’s a tactical part of a plan. Good suggestion. I don’t have a plan but many tactical suggestions like video recognition. At the moment, I’m just trying to get a pulse from the community - all political leanings - on whether or not people would welcome law enforcement collaboration, intelligence gathering, and deterrence to reduce violence at peaceful protests.

It seems when violence erupts, there is a knee-jerk assumption that it is caused by the police and/or white supremacists. It also seems banging on a car and trying to rip a driver away from car by protestors illegally blocking traffic is “peaceful” before protestor turned victim is thrown off the hood of the car or run over.

Let’s put a stop to all violence at protests. Let’s find the root cause.

Been saying the same since Minute 1.

The violent elements could be stopped, but local leaders have to step up and make those decisions to employ the necessary tactics, and they don't want to be responsible for that, so they dither and make speeches while shit burns down, then turn to the federal government to ask for aid to rebuild and wring their hands about the damage they've allowed to happen to their communities so they don't have to do their job.

It's ridiculous.

There was never any intention for there to be peaceful protests. In fact they chant "No justice, no peace". They are openly railing against justice and peace.

And just because the majority of them are not committing violence, that doesn't mean that these are peaceful protests. Some are committing violence, and the ones who do not disperse or act to prevent violence rather than acting as human shields when they see it, they are just as guilty as the ones who are committing violence because they are acting as a group. They are aiding and abetting.

When a group of people commits a robbery and one of them shoots the victim dead, they all get charged with murder, even the lookouts.
