He's selling simplicity, romanticising government's do nothing role, and what really makes him appealing is he's offering cynicism of government and all our institutions. He's king to the malcontent, disenfranchised, and those who haven't developed.
What are you talking about?! Every politician who runs criticizes the govt. Ron Paul does it even more so than others because he knows how shitty this country is, but his supporters don't arrive from bitching they arrive from proper solutions, which he clearly presents.

If you don't care about Ron Paul then why are you even posting? But aside from that Ron Paul threads and arguments go for a while and it's clear that lots of people actually care about what he's saying, so no I'd disagree with your blatant stupidity.
This is the only reason I could never support Paul.
Don't get me wrong, I do agree we need to rethink who we support, and how we do it, in the world. But to suggest we simply bring everyone home, close all the bases, and let the mice play. Is a deal breaker to me.
So we need bases and our troops in other countries to prevent us from being nuked? Look if a country is capable of nuking us and decides to do so, our troops in that country will have little to no role in preventing it. That is almost a given, unless they call out what they're doing before they actually do. Furthermore, what countries today do we currently occupy that we desperately need to? In fact, where is the money for this occupation? It DOES NOT exist! We are going bankrupt and you're talking about one of the biggest ways to save money as a deal breaker for you.
If anything this type of policy is exactly what's needed to make our country safer, with troops occupying other countries we are creating CLEAR resentment and conflict. They are not necessary, the sooner we wake up to this the better. Imagine if you had another country's troops over here like say China, and they said they needed to do this to protect their 'business interests' or some bullshit like that. Yea that's not gonna make most citizens here too happy.
If you're willing to do this to other people, I hope you guys are willing to take it from other people as well, because that's exactly what you IDIOTS will end up with at the end of all this. I can guarantee you that, ******* laugh and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.
