I could make that shot with open sights. Not bragging. When I went through Basic Training (which was admittedly during the Stone Age) The furthest target on our firing range was 460 meters. With open sights. And I'd hit that about half the time standing up. In the Prone firing position, 80% of the time, with a Bipod, 95% of the time.

At 150 meters (which was about the true distance for the Robinson shot) it was an easy shot even a rank amateru could make. In fact, I wouldn't even use a scope at that range. But, I'm not a fan of scopes. At all.

Put it this way, if that assassination were approved, I'd say that person who did that doesn't want their country to succeed for long. Whomever killed Charlie was a damn good shot and practiced many times to make it happen. The hours one would have to spend doing recon and a mock run...Did the twenty-year-old have those kinds of instincts since he was never trained in LEO or military?

Not that difficult, we use to shoot pennies for practice with a non scoped 22 rifle between 50-75 yards. Hitting a target the size of a head, at 150 yards from an elevated position with a hard surface to rest on - using a scope - limited practice you can do that.
