Guthrie Govan is definitely in a league of his own.

Never heard of the guy but he is certainly very good and maybe one of the best modern blues players I've heard, now all he needs is a complete band as good as him who can all pound out some very innovative original music.

For me it was always J. Geils, but I have to admit this guy Govan is really good [also should admit I never heard of him before now]

I'm not blessed with musical ears, but the collaboration between Zappa, Barrow and Colaiuta on those records is simply astounding. I reached out to Arthur on a fan Board 2 decades ago to compliment him on his amazing ability to find a way to provide a solid foundation without stepping on the lead.
