I know you have me on ignore because I made you cry a couple times, so if someone wants to quote my post so Marc can read it......
I, personally, am very aware of the past. I am very aware of History.
Let's start out with a couple of facts...... In the 5,000 year history of slavery, Blacks were a small fraction of that history. Couple hundred years, tops. You need to accept that as fact because -- It is.
But here's the most pernicious part of Black Slavery. The color of their skin.
Whites that had been enslaved could easily get by. English slaves in Viking territory didn't look much different than the indigenous population. Greece, Rome, etc. Arabs, Persians, etc usually enslaved other Semitic people.
But Blacks stood out. And they were discriminated against.
Nor just because of their looks but because, for generations, they were denied the right to learn how to read and write, they were denied any kind of family unit. Southern Whites claimed that Blacks needed Whites to direct them, to care for them. At the time, that was true because Blacks were kept uneducated, ignorant and dirty on purpose. They were even denied the right to bathe themselves.
And when Republicans fought and defeated the dimocrap South, Southerners blamed Blacks for their humiliation.
The South's new masters were Republicans. The Carpetbaggers? Republicans. Blacks? Republicans. ALL of them.
That's as much as I want to talk about right now. But, Marc..... Many of us are aware of of the discriminations Blacks face and have faced over the centuries.
It's just that -- Well, pissing people off isn't the way to get anything done. Joining groups like the CPUSA, that we DESPISE isn't going to make you a lot of friends.
Especially when you turn on the descendants of the people that fought and died to free you. Oh yes, they did. To deny that is the root cause of many of your problems.
I'm done. Boring.
