To the extent that the Ruble-Yaun Relationship legitimizes the Yaun it is the beginning of a very slippery slope. China has more man hours to give than we do and they can leverage that into their dealings with other currency partners.

One shouldn't get too hasty with Mandarin. There are 4 million Chinese characters and you will spend much too much time on the wrong language, spoken or read. Chinese themsleves should go the other way around and learn English, Indian, or Russian (Russian-Indian alternate to SWIFT is now in progress). The only reason that India, China & Russia ever evolved past medieval feudalism is by imitating Western Civilization. None of them have a truly stable government or economy.
