Is anyone surprised that when you organize thousands to protest that violence and destruction always seems to follow?

This has been more peaceful than the protests in 2020 where so many died, but it's still early. There have also been attempts to breach government buildings in Arizona. This is insane.

A large group of rioters was seen in downtown Portland, Oregon smashing windows and vandalizing several buildings Saturday night. The group also graffitied several messages targeting the U.S. Supreme Court.

The group, made of about 100 people, were yelling and chanting as they marched down the streets when they would periodically stop to destroy and graffiti objects.

"Death to SCOTUS," one black spray-painted message said.

Things seem pretty touchy on Twitter but so far no massive rioting in the major cities. Yes, that incident in AZ (insurrection!) and Portland will be Portland. But unless there's another inciting incident, it doesn't look like we're in for a George Floyd situation. Of course, I've been wrong before.

Is it a surprise when there is no democracy that people feel they need to find another way to get their voice heard?

Ironically many have made the same argument regarding 1/6. The differences in reaction by media and lawmakers depending on who does the protesting has decimated the narrative. Neither should be condoned and both given equal criticism by media, no?

Someone posted on here yesterday that an elderly couple as just arrested for simply being present on 1/6. This is how long after? I don't know if it's true or not but its frightening on its face if true.

So if both sides are rioting because the electoral system leads to people not getting a say, but then both sides are attacking each other for the violence......

Maybe people should be talking about how to change things. They're not... that's the most worrying thing.

A group of 100 people breaking windows in a Starbucks, and a Bank of America, and spray painting something on a building isn't a riot. That's called vandalism.

There was some racing going on also. That's also not a riot. That's illegal racing.

It's called an INSURRECTION by your own standards.

WHY were they doing this? TO CHANGE A POLITICAL OUTCOME.
