Electors are bound to vote the will of the primary election voters. You know, like the Electoral College that you democrats like to bash so much. The DNC set themselves up as the electoral college in their convention--only it is populated with FAITHLESS ELECTORS.

Well that's a complete lie too. Kamala Harris spent the first week after Joe Biden pulled out of the campaign having discussions with the Party's State Organizations, to secure the Biden-Harris votes for the Harris-Walz ticket, BEFORE the delegates started voting. The States' delegates pledged their support for the ticket, BEFORE the Party Leaders indicated their support.

Anyone who wished to run at that point could have stepped up and filed papers. No one did.

Convention delegates are NOT bound to the candidate they're elected to support. If their candidate drops out either before or during the convention, they're free to support whoever they choose. That's how conventions work.

Even in cases where a candidate drops out and throws their support to another candidate, the delegates are not required to accept that endorsement, and they're free to follow their own choices after their candidate is gone.
