NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! My heart instantly shattered when I saw this news,.. he was one of my most favorite posters on here. I never got to wish him a happy birthday either because I forgot at the start of the month. Happy birthday in Heaven old friend, you were a true patriot. Thank you for your service and RIP.

I have just been informed by his ex-wife that Ridgerunner passed away on August 13th. He last posted on July 19th. I enjoyed reading his content and his sense of humor.

Yeah, and he was one of the few in our community that always made sense. I feel terrible I never left him a birthday message like I always try to do with my other friends on here.

Btw guys, as the movie Blizzard taught, we have to remember that even though a friend may leave us, doesn't mean the friendship (even an online one) with that person has to, because we still have the memories of that person that will live in our hearts and minds forever.

Ridge was a great guy, I found out he was from near where I grew up. That explained his morals and family values....and probably his politics
