None-the-less, America is a signatory to the UN charter.
As for those documents yuo refer to, their veracity is questionable at best. And given the sentiment of a majority of US citizens towards the occupation of Iraq (the war actually ended with Chimpy's "Mission Accomplished" speech in 2003), the Administration would have them front and center to try and bolster their sagging poll numbers. Nice try though.![]()
Which documents? The War Resolution Act? The Congressional Resolution on Iraq? The Constitution?
Again, the Congress could NOT even if it wanted to, allow any UN act, resolution, etc. become a higher law than the Constitution. To do so, would deny the logic that underlies the government.
