I see a lot sites claim they provide free reverse phone lookup but it is all false advertising.....after a few attempts I have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a free reverse phone look up...am I right?

I dunno, I entered my phone into it, which is 816-282-2734 and it came back with 437-228-2618. weird.

I put in 867-5309 and it came back with Jenny

I saw it work in a movie once.
I dont understand how they get away with the false advertising...multiple sites claim they provide free reverse phone lookup but when I check it out....not true.

I am disappointed....i thought some techie on here could tell me how to do it.

I was gonna say that I think the operator still does that if you have a land line. But I just dialed "0" and there was no operator. Then I dialed 1-411, and got automated phone directory system asking me for city, state, or name.

I purposely mumbled something unintelligible, knowing that I would get an operator on the line. When I did, I asked if they still do reverse lookups, and she said yes. I asked what information do they give, and she said name and address.

So there it is. I';m not sure if that works on a cell phone. I'll have to try it some time.

Yikes! That one did return my wife's and my name, my deceased mother in law's name who was the previous owner of the phone number, that it was a landline, and the name of the carrier. Of course, then it offered a full background report through a paywall.

But it didn't work for a cell phone.

What does that have to do with USMB?
