A great many tribes in the Amazon were discovered in the 1970s and 1980s. And today all of them are virtually gone. They had no immunity to diseases due to their isolation, so things like the common cold killed most of them.

WW3? JFK never even criticized the Russians or called for a U.N. resolution. The phony war hero knew his administration was regarded as "camelot" and and he was safe from media criticism including failed foreign policy. Oh, and guess how much good even submitting a UN Resolution would have done, considering the Soviet Union had veto power in the UN? That is why there was never any kind of action taken between 1948-1949 over the Berlin Blockade.
