I don't think I've ever been assigned any 'points' for infractions. But one mod was regularly removing my posts and explained it to me that I was responding to another member's what I would call 'flaming' without addressing the OP. I had to admit I was most likely guilty as charged though when a post is removed, you can't go back to see the exchange. (And I sometimes have a short memory re what I post.“Flaming” is ill-defined.
The message I got was (as is too often the case) anonymous. And I don’t recall what I even wrote n that thread (but believe I was just following up on an observation about some weird ass teacher thing concerning PC and woke shit). A one-off one liner and “bam.”
The reason was “flaming.” I don’t believe it was flaming. On the other hand, I don’t care very much. I do think the board should more clearly define its terms.

A post has to be really REALLY bad for me to report it though. I don't like to aggravate the mods and it's easy enough to dismiss/ignore the trolls when it is obvious they're doing nothing more than baiting people.
I've honestly felt that if all us us reported every 'illegal' post, the mods wouldn't be able to keep up with it all.
But maybe I'm doing a disservice by not reporting? But yes when we aren't told what we did wrong, there is often no way to know what it is that we did. And each of the few posts I've had removed, I was advised the post was removed but I had to ask what post it was and why it was removed. (Often the mod can't remember either.)
