Democrats and Republicans define "Illegal allien" differently, and they and their media are depicting those differing definitions as Republicans lying.

Dems want to restore taxfunded health benefits to illegals who got assylum, or parole, or Temporary Protective Status when they were being granted en masse by the Autopen Administration.

In the minds of Democrats - and their media - those people are NOT illegal aliens. To Speaker Johnson, they are.

That difference in definitions allows the media to accuse him of lying and cite the federal law prohibiting "illegal aliens" from getting federal benefits.

Johnson needs to stop saying "illegal alien," and start saying "aliens granted mass assylum, often after having illegally entered the U.S." That would sell.

Here at his press conference today he says at 6:20:

"Why are we saying they want to return, restore taxpayer funded benefits to illegal aliens? Because that's what they did."

Then he directs Americans to page 57 of the Democrat proposal, which is on his speaker.gov website.

Few voters are going to go to look at that document, compare it to the BBB and see what the Dems want to repeal from it.

I'll do the homework. This is Schumer's proposed CR:

Here is that would take out of out of BBB:

Most Americans do not want to see their tax dollars used to pay for the healthcare of such aliens, even if the previous administrataion granted them "legal status."

Completely agree. I don't know why republicans aren't explaining how defining illegals is being manipulate by democrats.

So Johnson wants to **** over millions of U.S. citizens with massive premium hikes plus ripping health insurance away from millions of Medicaid recipients because of this one provision? Bullshit. Trump, Johnson & the rest of those depraved ***** need to find a way to finance the tax cuts that they passed to benefit their ******* billionaire cronies.

They're blowing smoke up your ass & lying to your face with this immigrant healthcare bullshit.

Very few Americans care about this.

However, millions of Americans are terrified about their Obamacare subsidies expiring on December 31st....including 57% of MAGA voters who want the Obamacare subsidies to continue. Their health care costs are about to go up 50% - 100% on Jan 1, 2026.

And that is why this is a no-win situation for Trump and the Republican Party. They are completely fucked.

Once again proving how Obiecare was a scam from the beginning. Healthcare costs went up to unaffordable levels by your own admission.

No, simp....they will go up to unaffordable levels if idiot Trump and idiot Republicans in Congress don't extend the subsidies....like 57% of MAGA voters want.

If that is true, why not sign the CR, so that anger about losing Obamacare subsidies is not taken out on federal employees who are overwhelmingly Democrats? They are terrified about losing their jobs.

Then . . . negotiate to get the repeal of those parts of the BBB that everyone hates according to those polls? How could that not work, if those poll numbers are real?

No longer angry at Dems for defunding the nation, the voters would demand that the repeals be passed immediately!

Right?

Federal workers are terrified about losing their jobs. But they already know who to blame -- Trump.

What the **** do you think the Democrats are doing right now?

Right?
Can't win the debate....so start whining about the poll numbers. Of course.

WTF is happening when people think the republican party is responsible for explaining democrat party policies that seem to consist only of hatred for Trump? Is it some sort of an Alinsky tactic?

Correct.

The reason that the GOP always gets blamed for the shutdowns is because they are responsible for them.

Why is Johnson having a hard time?

Because he’s on the wrong side of this

78% of Dems and FIFTY SEVEN per cent of MAGA types agree with the Dems

When will Republicans learn that people want affordable healthcare?

They’re doing fine. The democrats want healthcare for illegals and we all know that. The message is on point.

I have to think most Hispanic legal families aren’t very interested in having their illegal cousin being around them these days.

I repeat

The only problem with the Affordable Care Act is it's not affordable. It was never intended to be.

Obama and the Dems cooked the funding plan in 2009 to make it appear revenue neutral after 10 years, but that was smoke and mirrors. The ACA was ALWAYS going to run deficits and become just another unfunded entitlement.

Wrong. Republicans have done everything they could to “cook th funding” and make it more expensive
