Busing? Again? My god I walked about a mile to Jr high School, and walked home. The only time we had school off for snow was if there was over 2 ft over the weekend or 1 ft overnight.
Today I live in a small village and the school (K-12) is at one end of the village. Takes the Bus an hour to do all the pickups. I can walk from one end to the other in 45 minutes. And I'm slow. We are spoiled. Or at least our kids are.

Ah but right or wrong we have all paid into Social Security. Therefore we are getting back what we have paid into. And all those years paying taxes, we have more than [paid for the use of the roads. Another steaming pile of liberal crap. As a group, Conservatives give far more to charity than Liberals. Liberals like it when OTHER people help the poor, just not them. They prefer to have government act like a charity. Sorry Jim, Government spending is not charity. It is not a voluntary sacrifice by individuals. No matter how beneficial or humane it might be, no matter how necessary it is for providing public services, it is still the obligatory redistribution of tax revenues.
