There are countless people who are drug addicts. After destroying themselves and near bankrupting their families trying to clean up their act. Even when clean they are damaged from years and decades of abuse. Tragically, many of these people are smarter than the equity hires we see but will not be hired. We see the massive costs of the NASA SLS Rocket as a perfect example of this.

Same with gambling. Same with pron. Same with video games. Same with laziness. Same with just being an overall asshole. The most destructive person in my life was actually FAR MORE destructive years after they became sober and stopped using cocaine. They were just generally a corrosive and horrible person.

There are a thousand things you can do to yourself that will destroy yourself and/or your personal connections, not just your family.

And ALL are perfectly within your rights to do so because you are free and free people are allowed to self destruct.
