Yes, he was a great actor. The last picture I saw him in was Hldalgo. It's a shame that his picture with Barbra Streisand wasn't shown in Egypt. I guess they didn't want to see him playing a Jewish character although he was perfect in it.


Speaking of another Egyptian named Omar, I remember that there was a real estate agent out here named Omar Sadat, and his real estate partner was Sami Yousef, a Yemini Jew from Israel. So you can see that the Muslims can work closely with Jews, which probably horrifies the Jew haters on this forum. Regardless, two nicer guys you couldn't find. And Omar was just as handsome as Omar Sharif.
