This thread is about the term "being borked". It references the smear campaign by Joe Biden and Ted Dead Kennedy prior to the actual hearing.

Getting a hearing meant nothing. As was pointed out Bork chose to go through with it after Reagan (seeing the borking) offered to withdraw the nomination. Bork knew there was no chance. The parties agree on a lot of things. It is just the speed to the left that is negotiated. But the judges can make a difference and there is a degree of safety in it for Repubs. Unfortunately some of them are not as we are told. Progs have no problems with theirs. Anyway there is a war with prog versus Repubs on this issue. Cancel the hearings and vote the lady into the Supreme Court. Why go through these shenanigans. Watching the Alinsky games grew old many years ago. Its just that the public has to many people who still vote by letter.
