Who’s facts? Did social media not filter “disinformation” that turned out to not be disinformation? So, someone there is apparently determining what fact is and what it isn’t. And as we know from recent news articles, some of those media companies are being told by the government what are facts and what aren’t.

Why should news channels be held to a standard that social media are not, if both are publishing information?

We will have to. One thing though, the American People on the whole have been discounted before. Germany thought of us weak and Japan believe had no honor. China, in small way influenced by Anglo-European take over their take over of the country in early 1900's believed the U.S. would not fight in Korea. The First Marine Division proved them wrong.
