I used to pick up some meals there. I kinda liked some of their food options. But mine big criticism I had was that they always used a lot of salt. Far too salty.

When we were going there we usually had turkey, but they seemed to have a fairly wide variety to choose from. The last year or two, those choices got fewer and fewer and the main courses reduced to meat loaf and chicken. Didn't appeal anymore.

Food trucks may replace most or all of the takeout chains. Eventually all the chains will be bankrupt.

This theory was put forth over 30 years ago.
So, where are they at?

I've been standing by the street waiting for the Burger King truck to come by for a LONG, LONG time!!!

It really isn't so far fetched. Taco trucks are what they are called in CA and they've been around for decades--so much so that municipalities have designated areas where there are multiple trucks to choose from with eating areas. In the PNW, they have them as well with all kinds of ethnic foods being offered. They are better positioned in the niche because they are self service and have low overhead. The problems I have with the ones in the PNW are that the menus are inconsistent as well as the operating hours.

Here in the frozen north, fast food customers like staying in their heated cars at drive thru windows, but that will change as driving becomes more expensive and the climate changes. Carts may eventually replace food trucks.

I remember them. Huge loss. I used to go to this one fast food rotisiere chicken chain called Rollo Pollo. Fantastic place. Truly devine. They were very much like Boston Market, only better. They went out of business so I started going to Boston Market instead, which in turn went belly up. I read an article recently that what really did them in was when Sam's Club, Costco, Walmart, and major grocers started selling huge whole rotisiere chickens for only $5 when these places were much more than that for only partial chickens.

I loved Boston Market back in the day. Great chicken dinners. They weren't like other fast food places.
Hard to say why some places make it and others don't. Markets are very fickle.

Over expansion and they went away from Chicken to too many other things, although their meatloaf was pretty solid.

When they opened in our area, their main dishes were rotisserie chicken, fried chicken, roast turkey, ham, meatloaf and roast beef. When they closed it was chicken and meat loaf.
