The Nicene Creed:

I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,

of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come.

Amen.

As a Christian (assuming non-Catholic) what do you find in the Nicene Creed (Which is a prayer) to be of "False Authority"? Other than believing in the Catholic Church; if you are not Catholic?
The sticking point is the personhood of the Holy Spirit, which is not scriptural. The "Holy Trinity" is founded on this false personhood.

To my knowledge the Christian Forums is the only religious forum that has this requirement, that unless you believe in the Trinity you aren't a Christian.

"Catholic" in the Nicene Creed simply means universal. It doesn't refer to the Roman Catholic Church.

The Holy Spirit is "God's Spirit that roamed over the Earth" in Genesis. The Holy Spirit is also mentioned by God in the Old Testament when he discovered women mourning for a deity with cakes, etc - stating,"Why do they mourn my Holy Spirit"?

So yes, The Holy Spirit is very much scriptural in the Bible.

To my understanding a sock puppet is someone who got banned and then creates a new account with a different user name in order to circumvent the shunning.
What kinda religion were you trying to peddle?
That was my first time posting in that sight. I teach Gods truth.

You were probably herding goats and sheep all your life and that's how you know all the secrets of the universe, eh?

The Holy Spirit is a spirit, not a person. When the Holy Spirit came into the church it didn't come as a person but as the efficacious power of God.

SUBTOPIC: Spirits
⁜→ Woodznutz , et al,

In a Gallup Poll released on
June 10, 2001, the survey administrators found:

that 54 percent of Americans believe in spiritual or faith healing; 41 percent acknowledge that people can be possessed by the devil; 50 percent accept the reality of ESP; 32 percent believe in the power of prophecy; and 38 percent agree that ghosts and spirits exist.

A "spirit" (as it is generally applied to a Metaphysical Non-Corporeal Entity) is some unidentified residual intelligence energy for something not living. There is no universal definition of a "spirit"

The Holy Spirit is a spirit, not a person. When the Holy Spirit came into the church it didn't come as a person but as the efficacious power of God.
(QUESTIONS)

What is the "Power of God?"
◈ What Power is it?
◈ Which Deity is defined as God?

IF the human can visually detect a "spirit" THEN //that "spirit" must be reflecting or emitting light in the 400–700 nanometres, corresponding to frequencies of 750–420 terahertz. That means that some aspect of the "spirit" (ghost - whatever) must be inside a common or shared reality. (I would have thought humanity would have captured it by now (if it is real).

In the Paranormal Investigators Certification Course (PICC) there are a couple a "Glossary of Paranormal Terms"
Spirit

(a) a discarnate entity.
(b) soul
(c) Divine essence.
