Actually, I knew this guy who was one of those Civil War "reenactors". It's a myth that the north wore only blue and the south only grey. It's easy to find out. Google "confederate blue and yankee grey". Pick your source.

However, the south has ALWAYS been conservative. What ever the party affiliation, the south has always been conservative. All that racism, hate and ignorance has really hurt them over the years. They say FDR was such a disaster, yet the north recovered and they never did. And never will. As long as conservative's failed policies remain in charge. And with new technology and more modern opportunity, they will suffer even more. Recent conservative policies in the Carolinas and Georgia among other states will see to it.
