“I heard nothing in Governor Haley’s speech that suggests foolishly addressing the immigration problem. I see what should be the standard for addressing issues of any kind in our nation: common sense focus coupled with conservative belief, which Coulter and Trump both lack.”
The problem is what constitutes 'conservative belief' – is 'conservative belief' compelling women to give birth against their will through force of law, denying same-sex couples their right to equal protection of the law, making it more difficult for Americans to vote with more government and more laws, balancing the budget on the backs of working Americans, low income Americans, the elderly and disabled.
Is 'conservative belief' doing away with necessary, proper, and Constitutional regulatory measures, subjecting American workers to unsafe working conditions, poisoned food, polluted air and water, and consumer products likely to cause injury or death.
Is 'conservative belief' the ignorance, hate, and bigotry we've seen directed toward Muslims, including Muslim Americans, existing in a perpetual state of fear and conflict with other nations of the world, and the propensity for starting failed illegal wars.
Given what manifest as 'conservative belief,' there exists little distinction between the likes of Coulter and Haley, the former might be more extreme and ridiculous, but the latter is just as wrong.
