For starters:

1. They would have to consider that they may be morally accountable to something greater than themselves

2. They would have to consider what happens to them upon death, and the possibility of them being judged for their actions in this life (for example, if I was a murderer or a rapist, I would probably be hoping that there is no God, and that I cease to exist upon death)

Keep in mind that for some atheists, it's not a matter of want, but a matter of can't, or discerning the reality of they simply don't.

We know the Magical, Mystical, Mythical Sky Man is NOT real. That is the only reason. He is ******* lie.

YOU and people like YOU need to justify your belief in a non-existent being by attack those like myself who chose to think for ourselves. YOU are to narrow minded to accept the fact that people can actually believe your non-existent Sky Man and his Bastard Son do not exist. So you bullshit reasons that are not in anyway, shape or form real. What YOU believe in is NO SKY MAN. Never has been and never will be. YOU do not get decide why I chose not to. I know why i don't, you believe in a lie and I do not.

No, he isn't. But God Is. Attempt to turn reality into something it's not, is the product of an inferior mind(s). Remember the proverb: It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. This is equally true of the written word.

NO IT IS NOT. There not now, nor has there even a god. Just people like you who to ******* afraid to think for yourself. The SKY MAN (god) is not real.

I can't think of anyone less qualified to list reasons why atheists don't believe there is a God than a theist.

Of course this is attention-begging nonsense.

WTF is an "A theist"

I see on this forum on daily basis people who claim to be so-called "Christians", who in reality carry so much hate in their heart it is beyond belief.

Your non-existent god does not call on you to hate, he calls on you to love, to accept, to show compassion and love and no so-called "Christian" ever shows that on this forum.

These so-called "Christians" hate people because of the color of their skin, how they choose worship their version of their god (who is NOT real), who they want to marry or simply because they choose not to believe in the non-existent god. Your non-existent god teaches love, care, compassion and concern is what is important and you ******* people ignore that.

YOU ******* people NOT your non-existent god's love YOU practice hate. IF you ******* assholes believe in ******* "Pro-Life", you would protest the murdering Pregnant Women, Infants and Children in Palestine and Ukraine and you do not. IF you people were "Pro-Life", you protest Capitol Punishment (sate sponsored murder) and you do not. YOU people do not get to decide who can and and cannot get married based on the gender of the people who want to get married. You ******* assholes use your ******* religion as a weapon against others. That is why I choose freely not believe, you people disgust me.

Could it be "people like you" are much too fearful to seek and find God? There are people all around you who can testify, through experience, that God is. And, you can explain that you have never been able to find God in your own life. It follows that those who have had no experience/belief in God are as ignorant about God as those who have never studied denisovans are ignorant about them. People who are ignorant about any subject don't do well in discussions with people who have knowledge of that topic. Also, intelligent people have a common trait, that sometimes is lacking among the ignorant who pretend to know and do not: They are respectful.

Why are religious people so immoral, then?

For the same reason first graders do not know calculus or play professional ball. We are each on our own journey to become the best version of ourselves, growing stronger both in knowledge, morals, and grace.

I have never been impressed with religions or religious people...

I suggest then that we let you continue yer journey yer own way and the rest can do as they see fit.

Don't presume and assume , just ask and learn .
Your comments are about as short of the mark as imaginable .

I left your incarnation level many lives ago.
Doubtless I still have far to travel but far , far less than you .

I think for myself. YOU are shit scared of doing so.

Consider this: Throughout history there are stories of great nations (some mentioned in the Bible) of the end result when people decided everyone should just do whatever they felt was right for themselves personally. This is not a new idea thought up by modern man. After thousands of years of trying this, can a different result be expected? What say you?

Is it a good policy for teachers or businesses to tell their students/employees, "Do whatever you feel is right and all will work out for the best." ?

So rather address what I wrote, you choose to ignore it, typical so -called "Christian", ignore the truth and embrace lie. I am quite happy to NOT ******* believe in your non-existent god. YOU need to. YOU have nothing without it. YOU are afraid to think for yourself.

Why do you think you know me well enough to come to this conclusion? Here is another proverb: A conclusion is the point where someone stops thinking. Not only have you stopped thinking about God, you have stopped thinking about me, favoring instead to reach a conclusion that permits you to stop thinking at all.

I'll give you a clue. As the oldest sister with six younger siblings, I didn't have the luxury of fear. The younger ones looked to me to protect them from what they feared. What do you fear? What are you imagining that I fear?
