Donnelly will not be a Vice Admiral and his promotion to command 7th fleet has been withdrawn. The drag show on USS Ronald Reagan, then under his command, showed a failure of leadership and it cost him.

He has had several commands since the Reagan and Trump selected him for promotion. The path to promotion is a narrow and precarious one the further up the ladder you go. One **** up, if it goes public, can sink ya. James Stavridis was in my chain of command as an Ensign, he played the game well and was well rewarded.

Shellback ceremony, the Royal queen, yes. A guy gets volunteered to dress as a girl for the duration of the ceremony. Predates the introduction of cumcatchers (sailorettes) at sea. Not quite the same as a freak who dresses as a girl because he is a swish.
