The left have been making very huge corrections to their numbers on a regular basis. So, it's easy to see why they couldn't be trusted in reporting the numbers correctly. Whether it was done purposely in the name of politics, I don't know but their numbers were certainly off by huge numbers on a regular basis, incompetence at best.

But, the funniest part was when they proudly proclaimed violent crime in the country was down and then had to adjust their numbers after the election to show that violent crime was actually up, not down. They purposely fudged the numbers for the election. Democrats can't seem to be trusted with ANY numbers. And, even now they're claiming DC doesn't have a crime problem. Just because numbers may be down (if accurate), it doesn't mean DC doesn't have a huge crime problem. Democrats proudly proclaim that even though they are on a pace of having 115 murders in 2025, the pace is down from the previous year. So, apparently they're saying that 115 murders in DC this year is a good thing because it's not 130. That's their argument and that is just murders, not other crimes. Maybe we shouldn't be having 115 murders in DC a year.

It was under 3% and falling when Trump got into office and started implementing inflationary policies, the only thing offsetting them is falling energy prices due to bleak growth outlook.
