There's a Rasmussen Boulevard in Battle Ground, Washington, where that family has close connections to the Army Corps of Engineers, where Commissioned Officers from the military are heavily involved with the Clark County Board of Commissioners in real estate development approval and building permit process.

There's also a non-profit philanthropic Rasmuson Foundation in Anchorage, Alaska. I am uncertain of any blood relation vis-à-vis the variant spelling of the name, but the political alignment is very, very close, (on the left.)
