What policies would those be? The only thing that has happened under Obama is having the fed buy up bonds and print money we got a preview of what will happen to the market when that ends they dropped like a rock when that was merely hinted at a few weeks ago. Keep trying for tha original thought.

You might want to recheck the timeline on that gas prices hit there high in the Summer of 08 then began dropping they were below $2.00 dollars a gallon before the economic meltdown ever started. If it was the great meltdown that caused gas prices to drop as you say well the meltdown continued well into Obama's first year in office so wouldn't that have caused gas prices to continue to fall instead of go back up?

The fact that energy prices are high is that the economy has rebounded.

A 50% market crash and the worst recession in U.S. history helped Bush and Republicans reduce gas prices from $4.50 to $1.85 in 2007.
