Me personally? Absolutely.
In my opinion, rap only lacks 1 thing that might disqualify it from being considered music. It lacks melody.

Most rap does not although some rap tunes have parts that are sung.
Epic by Faith no More. The verses are rap but the chorus is sung.


For the most part rap music does not have a melody. Another genre that lacks melody is Death metal.

I have always thought the band was very good musically and came up with good beats and riffs, despite Fred being kind of a douche and a bit crazy.
A good fusion of hard rock and rap.
Some bands are better to be heard and not seen.
