I'd take him over almost all other Republican candidates. He seems to not be faking it.
I'm open to him, but I am still trying to figure him out. I think his Dad is a good guy though, but he's not his Dad.

I doubt Rand has made an official decision this early, considering anything could happen in the mean time. Regardless, he's certainly setting the stage for a run.
Sen. Rand Paul doesnt explicitly deny that his eight-day visit to the Holy Land represents the launch of a 2016 Republican presidential nomination run, describing the trip as more an effort to become part of an international stage.
But at least some of the 40 evangelical Protestant leaders traveling with Mr. Paul think otherwise.
This trip to meet with Israelis, Arabs and Palestinians is absolutely the first step in his 2016 White House campaign, said David Lane, evangelical political organizer and president of the Los Angeles-based Pastors and Pews.

He'd also, presumably, be running for re-election in the Senate as well, however, and that seems like a lot of work.

The Beer Hall Putsch (also known as the Munich Putsch [1] German: Hitlerputsch or German: Hitler-Ludendorff-Putsch) was a failed attempt at revolution that occurred between the evening of 8 November and the early afternoon of 9 November 1923, when Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler, Generalquartiermeister Erich Ludendorff, and other heads of the Kampfbund unsuccessfully attempted to seize power in Munich.

Rand will run and be the best option with a chance to win but not a perfect option as far as his overall views are... well his stated ones but I guess he could be more Libertarian than that but just playing the game.

I don't know which would be worse, somebody who genuinely believes in some of the things that Rand has voted for, or a libertarian who simply voted for them in an effort to gain political power. Actually, I think I do.
Hey look another guy we haven't heard of, a real fresh face, running for president.
Maybe somebody totally unknown who can shake the system up will run... maybe Newt Gingrich!
