He is not eligible to be president, but that doesn't mean he can't be speaker of the house. Lord forbit that something would happen to trigger the line of progression to be president, but if the specker of the house were not eligible to be president, then I suspect it would simply go to the next person that is eligible in the progression.

What would happen is that * * IF * * something were to happen to Trump, Vance would become President. If something happened to Vance then they would look to the House Speaker. Since Musk isn't a Natural Born Citizens (having been naturalized in 2002), he is not eligible to become President.

So he would simply be skipped and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate would become President of the United States.
