At the age of 62 I tried radishes for the first time last night.
My wife sliced them and slipped them in my salad.
My verdict is tha they were ok if lacking a bit of flavour. The crunch was nice but not as good as celery.
Overall it was ok and I dont know why I have been avoiding them for so long.
I suspect that americans have multiple varieties with all sort of flavours.

daikon radishes are okay. I don't especially like the red radishes. They are bitter to me.

Try different varieties. Usually if they're fresh, many have as much crunch as celery.
Too, try them chilled just dipped in some salt...

This style. Like any/most vegetables maturity level and freshness are critical.

Ive just looked it up. They are called "mooli" over here. Obviously. You can get them in the bigger supermarkets.

It's really too late for you now.

You greedily ate, drank, and smoked yourself into being a burden on society.

Do the right thing, the decent thing...

/---/ Garden fresh have a smart bite to them. Hot house radishes are bland. Enjoy.

Radishes lose most of their sharpness when you cook them.
I usually slice them real thin when I put them on a salad.
They also come pre-sliced at the store if you're too lazy to cut them yourself.

Thats the wifes job. I dont interfere,

The green tops are edible and can be added to your salad as well. I suppose they can be cooked and/or added to other recipes, but I've never done that
