I have been to Israel more then a dozen times during my Bundeswehr time - regarding military issues & cooperation. And IDF and other security related Israeli personal have been to the RSA - whilst I was serving in the SAAF.

We, the SAAF killed around 28,000 Terrorists, Cubans, Russians and East-Germans in mostly urban areas - whilst causing around 500-1000 civilian casualties. There was no USA to supply us with thousands of bombs and missiles to kick the shit out of every village, town, and city - neither did we intend to kill tens of thousands of civilians - so special ops did 80% of the job.

It would take pages to describe the actions that Israel could have taken - instead of indiscriminately bombing the shit out of GAZA and it's population, whilst having TOTALLY failed to achieve their "supposed" goal of eliminating Hamas after 18 month!!

What you fail to understand or accept is:
Israels (Netanjahu's) intention was NEVER to solely eradicate Hamas, but simply to use the Hamas attack as a welcomed excuse to flatten Gaza and disperse it's population. No matter how many Civilians get killed.

Nothing in the past has worked. Don't you find it strange that no Arab country wants to take folks from Hamas. I said years ago that Gaza should be flattened and everything there be pushed into the Med.
