A New Era of Competence and Compassion​

Mamdani said in his victory speech, "This new age will be defined by a competence and a compassion that have too long been placed at odds with one another. We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve and no concern too small for it to care about."

This is at the heart of the dogma of socialism. It is a belief that government is the answer to all our problems, that is, ONLY a government run by socialists. For only they possess compassion for people and solutions that are perfect in situations. All others are fascist hate mongers. So, even though socialism may have gone horribly wrong historically, finally we have real socialism that will be implemented the correct way.

That is why the state must control every aspect of our existence, and why there must never be any political opposition, because any such opposition is the source of all our ills.

- translation, It's going to require many more government departments to assess, study and and then implement policy to rectify all these small concerns. resulting once more in more regulations and probably taxes on those who have been profiting off the roots of these concerns. Also it will require more power given to the government and someone else will have to give up some of their rights.
