Quote from Mamdani's victory speech

A New Era of Competence and Compassion

Mamdani said in his victory speech, "This new age will be defined by a competence and a compassion that have too long been placed at odds with one another. We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve and no concern too small for it to care about."

This is at the heart of the dogma of socialism. It is a belief that government is the answer to all our problems, that is, ONLY a government run by socialists. For only they possess compassion for people and solutions that are perfect in situations. All others are fascist hate mongers. So, even though socialism may have gone horribly wrong historically, finally we have real socialism that will be implemented the correct way.

That is why the state must control every aspect of our existence, and why there must never be any political opposition, because any such opposition is the source of all our ills.

It truly is a religion.
The last guy that said these very same things --- is now in jail.
Remember "Chocolate City"? - Ray Nagin?

I'll tell you what. He had a really good speech.

"New York will remain a city of immigrants: a city built by immigrants, powered by immigrants and, as of tonight, led by an immigrant."

"So hear me, President Trump, when I say this: To get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us."

Yes, my wife and her family came from a Communist country to the US. They figured out very quickly that the Democratic Party in the US espoused many of the same ideas that would eventually lead to exactly what they had just escaped. Spoiled Americans don’t have a clue, but I guess sometimes you have to let the kids touch the flame to understand the danger.

Are you planning on pointing at a heathen when you stand before you Lord and Maker on judgement day and tell Him, "well, they did it too?"

Is that what you're going to do? You think that'll fly?

Stealing money from any group and giving it to another is not right. Who is condoning that other than Socialists?

Who is against immigrants? Illegal immigrants are a different story. Democrats don’t seem to understand the difference.

The nazi jackboots just pulled a legal immigrant out of a daycare in Chicago yesterday because she was brown. Your time will come.

You should move up there.

Mistakes are made, but the common good is being served.

You may be right though. The left would want nothing more than the jail those that are in opposition to their political agenda.

I work from NYC every 6 weeks for a few days. We have an office there. When were you there last?

I was there a few years ago staying with a relative who lived on 5th Avenue overlooking Central Park. Sucked then and still sucks. Neat to visit, but even living in luxury compared to most other people, it was a dive in comparison.

Years ago, and I couldn’t get out quick enough.
Sure. Nothing worse than a world class city with thousands of amazing restaurants, iconic structures, world class shopping, the most amazing city park on earth and real movie scenes on every corner. Its a great place if you have money.

Wait a minute…You work there, but live in the South….why?

The very wealthy people that lived in the same building as my relative all had places in Florida or elsewhere that they frequented often in both the summer and the winter. They couldn’t stand being there for too long. I would stay a week at a time. That was all I could handle. I can only imagine how bad it would be if you didn’t live on 5th Avenue or another wealthy area.
