While Western presstitutes celebrated Ukraine as a haven of democracy under Selensky after the Maidan, and Merkel met with Poroshenko 16 times to pledge her support, there were many murders of critical journalists and opposition figures in Ukraine after the Maidan.
There are secret prisons for political prisoners in Ukraine, where people have disappeared without a trace and without contact with the outside world, where torture and rape have taken place and continue to take place. The UNHCR has reported these conditions in over 20 reports on the human rights situation in Ukraine, but the Western media has consistently kept quiet about it. And when a Ukrainian intelligence officer recently fled to Russia and reported all these things in detail, it was also unreported by the Western media.

Apart from the hundreds of nameless people who disappeared in these prisons or died unnoticed by the public, there were also a number of prominent opponents of the regime in Ukraine who were murdered or died under mysterious circumstances. This list highlights the most high-profile cases of the post-Maidan period.

August 2014: Valentina Semenjuk-Samsonenko, chairwoman of the Fund for State Property of Ukraine was shot dead.
January 2015: Nikolay Sergienko, former Deputy Chief of Railways was shot dead.
