Judge Engoron received push back from real estate and legal experts for using Mar-a-Logo's ASSESSED value which has nothing to do with Market value which is the ONLY value a bank loan is based on.

Appraisers provide an 'opinion of value' based on the date of the inspection of the property. Assessors derive their ad valorem value on mass appraisals done by the taxing authority. They are NEVER used as proof of Market value which is what banks use to derive equity.

Engoron found that Trump inflated the size of his triplex then goes on to say that is 'fraud.' It is NOT fraud to over estimate one's own property value. Engoron is is using lawfare.

The bank did not HAVE to independently appraise every one of Trump's properties for him to have enough certified equity to get the loan. The bank would not give the loan if it did not think Trump had the equity. They are able to pick and choose what equity they will use to grant the loan. You're still an idiot.
