Is the take over of health care by the government, (if that is what they are doing or want to do) for the soul reason of helping the American people to get healthy, and of course at an affordable price in doing so, or is it just the weakest target to shoot for when wanting to strike at the heart of what holds Americans hostage at the moment, and all because it (the health care industry) had riled the American people to a complete anger over the corruption and cost hikes, so what better time it is right now then, to just take advantage of a situation in order to shift the nation one way or the other, be it from a capitalist system, right on over to a socialist system or even over to communism by way of the people being fed up in this specific area maybe, and thus they are now ready to just let the government take it and to run it finally ?

The wonderful thing about our system is that when one group becomes too powerful or takes advantage of the system, citizens have the power to vote those in who will better represent their needs. If the rich do become too rich and powerful at the expense of the middle class, you can bet that things will change quickly. If the middle class becomes poor because of stupid policies that favor the rich, you can believe that eventually the tide will turn. Of course, it can work the opposite way also. If the poor are taking advantage of a system that benefits them too much, there will be a backlash and many of the freebies will be taken away.

The biggest problem we are seeing now is that those in the middle know they are getting screwed. Unfortunately, many of them have been convinced that the reason they are being screwed is because of the poor rather than the rich who continue to get richer and richer while blaming the poor for the middle class woes. It's actually comical when one looks at the situation with any perspective. The poor are not getting any richer; in fact, the poor is becoming a larger class as more are falling into the ranks of the poor. On the opposite end, more people are becoming rich and those who are already rich are becoming even richer. And seeing this as it is, the middle class is trying to protect the wealthy while taking away from the poor. In the end of course, it will all backfire, because taking away from the poor will only make things miserable as more become poor. Eventually, people will wake up and do what is necessary. The bad thing is that the more we move to a situation where the very wealthy control all of the assets at the expense of the rest of society, the more likely we are to really turn to true socialism. I don't think that will happen, but things can change fast. Hell, Americans can't stick to a political plan for more than two years before they are ready to vote one party out and the other back in.
