Benito Mussolini was a member of the Italian "SOCIALIST" Party. However, was expelled as he wanted to intervene in World War I. He wanted to be a ruler and return Italy to a semblance of its Roman past of an Empire. Thus, he created the Fascist Party. The left and those making definitions in dictionaries, refer to it as the "Republican Fascist Party," which it was anything but. His party took over the government and private industry the same way a SOCIALIST government would. He believed the state (government) was the answer to the country's problems and he utilized the ideas of economics from Vilfredo Pareto (a Sociologist and Political Scientist). His was opposed to democracy and demanded that citizens perform civic duties in the interest of the state.
Thus, unlike the American Republican party, which consider it important to abide by the US Constitution and while having a central responsibility, the states should have their own laws, that are not covered in the Constitution. The left, in the US, are now clearly not in favor of our Constitution and would be drifting towards the Italian Fascist or German Nazi parties. Both were strong central governments in which their provinces (counties or states, if you will) could only go along with everything that those two parties insisted they abide by, or else. In Germany, they had their "Brown Shirts." In Italy, they had their "Black Shirts." The left, has their black outfitted and masked Antifa and do exactly what Germany and Italy did, stir up hatred for "others," and in the poor Jews case, they were the scapegoats.
