The situation with the planned coup d'etat in Germany was invented in order to distract the population from the pressing problems. Eugene Schmidt, a member of the Bundestag and a representative of the Alternative for Germany (AdG) faction, expressed this opinion in a conversation with Izvestia on December 7.
"In my opinion, this is an attempt to spin a media scandal against the background of disastrous problems in the German economy, disastrous problems with energy supplies. With the coming cold weather, people simply have nothing to pay, because many people get rather modest salaries. Utility bills are two to five times higher than last year. People begin to look around: who is to blame? And the incompetent government is to blame, of course. And now before our eyes such a media provocation is concocted to distract attention from the pressing problems," he said.
