That hero of the GOP has done it again! I really think that he could win a Republican primary in the US.

It does not take balls to stir the pot in a civil war, just a horrifying disregard for human life, perhaps they are the same thing in conservative circles.

Do people realize how stupid continuing to call Putin a hero of the right makes them sound? The fact Putin is fast becoming the major power on the world stage is sad and depressing the only thing sadder is people who think others are happy about this.

Who's going to fly and maintain the SU-25s? Operating an attack aircraft in combat isn't just something you pick up in a couple of hours. It takes years to train and hone a competent combat pilot.

The article says they'll be put into service right away and the Russians will leave shortly. But the IQAF hasn't operated the SU-25 since the early 90's. Are the Iraqis going to drag 50-year-old non current pilots out of retirement to fly them? Or will Russian pilots fly them? Putting the lives of Russian pilots on the line is a much bigger step then supplying surplus attack aircraft.

This should prove to be interesting.

If I were to take a guess I would say it would Russians flying and maintaining the planes it's not something I would put past Putin doing.
