Let me show you a bit of true history

What event had positive results at the beginning but caused worse results for the long term?

The Treaty of Versailles (1919)

• Short-term results: The treaty successfully ended World War I and aimed to ensure the German war machine could never again threaten the Allied powers. It provided a sense of justice and security for the victorious nations, who imposed harsh penalties including massive war reparations, severe military restrictions, and territorial losses on Germany.
