Stalin was a brutal dictator but it's a stretch to claim that he intentionally starved the Russian people at Leningrad. The Germans had the city surrounded and the Russian army was on the defensive. The Germans weren't prepared for the brutal Russian winter and that's what broke the siege.

Leningrad was never surrounded. Yes, land access was blocked, but the water and, in winter, over ice access was never blocked, or even effectively interdicted by the Germans. Stalin refused to allow the civilians to evacuate in the boats and trucks that bought munitions into the city for the Red Army. He wanted the labor pool available to build/repair defenses, so hundreds of thousands starved to death.

The Soviets didn't "liberate" Europe, they conquered it just like the Nazi Germans did. If they had "liberated" it, they would have done what the WAllies did in France, Denmark, Norway, Belgium and Holland. Pulled out at the end of the war and let the citizens create their own government. Instead, the Soviets imposed a government in every country they captured of communists made up of communists approved by Stalin. The only country to avoid that fate was Yugoslavia, which was ruled by Marshal Tito, a home-grown communist who was cool towards Stalin since most of his aid during the war came from the WAllies, NOT the USSR.

The WAllies would still have had massive numerical superiority in men and weapons. Once the USA entered the war, Germany and Japan had zero chance of victory. The only question was how much the victory would cost in treasure and blood. In the face of WAllied aerial supremacy Germany couldn't support the occupation forces it had in France and the Low Countries let alone a larger one. Even without the use of nukes, Germany was doomed to defeat, with them it was doomed to defeat and destruction. The border with the USSR would be wherever the Germans decided to set it, probably the Urals making the USSR a minor, powerless state that could barely feed itself.
