Put on the Armor of God

Exodus 29 KJV
5 And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod:

6 And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre.

This is the Old Testament version of the armor of God. The high priest wore it when he went behind the veil on the Day of Atonement.

Mortimer - the flood will come - and you do not help Noah, isn't it? Means this now god will punish you?
The great flood myth was borrowed from earlier cultures. The Jews borrowed everything from other cultures that they have to create their culture they were great plagiarists.

And that was part of the Jewish tribal religion. It has nothing to do with what Christianity should be.

Which "earlier" culture or cultures? No no no no no - take a look first into your own brain to see now inside of it the poor emptiness of your real knowledge.

Human beings talk about lot of things while sitting around a campfire, Borg.

The epic of Gilgamesh and Atra-Hasis 1600 B.C. Other biblical stories which have been plagiarized are the story of Adam and Eve, the persona of Abraham, the ten commandments just to name a few. I almost forgot David's Psalms many were plagiarize from earlier Egyptian works.

The epic of Gilgamesh ...

To understand only a little about the culture of the Gilgamesh epos is nearly impossible without to have to learn (and to speculate) a lot. If you compare this text then the textes of the bible are intuitively very easily understandable. You compare "aliens" with "terrestrians". The original of the text of the flood are by the way represented in the bible and parallels in the gilgamesh epos seem to be a misinterpretation of this original story.

It reflects the tribal religion of the ancient Jews, unfortunately much of that crept into Christianity.
It's not our fault the founders of Xtianity did not have enough imagination to create a new religion and borrowed from us.

Christianity chose to miss the whole point of that exchange. Jesus was more upset with the religion which allowed the deprivations to occur. At that point he was having an internal fight with himself and came to the realization that all religion is corruptible given enough time. That's when he actually embraced his teachings as a philosophy. The last thing he wanted was a religion named after him, he knew what would eventually come from that.

I see, and Jesus told you this personally?
