Total, utter, poppycock. Sure, your emotional response will appeal the peanut gallery and Deplorables. However, anybody who tramples on the Constitution by invading Congress in the way they did does not deserve to serve their country. They are lucky to be living in it.What we're witnessing here in 2021 is unprecedented and clear discrimination against law enforcement and military service applicants—and even already serving members of both—based on their political beliefs, racial appearance, and religious backgrounds. As a veteran of both the military and law enforcement I find it to be utterly sickening. The only reason for it, as others have said, is to identify and purge from service any applicant or active duty member whose political beliefs clash with modern Democratic Party ideology—and it needs to STOP or be stopped. Now.
I am also sick of people giving moral equivalence - hell, any sort of equivalence - to a range of loons like Qnon. They are an absolute threat to your Republic. To just go around flinging accusations at people with nothing to back it up reminds me of the McMartin case in California and a so-called Satanic peodophile ring, when there was no evidence. At all. Nothing. Just accusations.
You may want to live in a world where people can throw out accusations with impunity and no repercussions. You want to throw out accusations, bring your evidence or STFU. I put the beliefs of these Qnon loons up there with anybody over the age of 10 who believes in the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. You may want men and women like that manning your nuclear silos. Me? I think it good nimrods like that are vetted out.
