I don't see any pretending to be Shylock (nor is Shylock an anti Semitic character). Shakespeare (we have no way of knowing if he was an anti Semite) comes in rather late in the game in terms of the development of anti-semitism.

The few seconds I've seen of the dance involves no words, no hatred expressed, simply a dance with some theatrical body language. Why did the Jewish media make such a big deal about it? Thin skin, or just incessant propaganda efforts?

I heard nothing about this until I saw the thread here and I read lots of Jewish sourced publications. No one I know has said anything about it (and I work with over 1000 Jews, daily, including a lot of sports fans).

So this tempest in a teapot isn't really a thing among the Jewish community.

The lady I was sitting next to is an avid football fan, I am just a medium fan. It was 6PM, and she had already seen the news earlier in the day. The sports channel mentioned the story several times in the next 2 hours. She and I laughed that it was even being mentioned because the act itself was completely innocent. The next day on the computer homepage the story was mentioned again. I laughed again at the silliness, and posted it here.

It makes the Anti-anti-semitic crowd look downright silly, and it's good to hear from you that the Jews you work with said nothing about it.

The cynical view is that this Goy can't help but wonder if the MSM(sports) powers-that-be are following the lead of Bibi in his recent declarations that the internet and social media are the new Zionist battlefield.
